AFIP Atlas of Tumor Pathology,
Series III
The books in the AFIP Atlas
of Tumor Pathology series ("Fascicles") have for years been important references
in the fields of surgical and oncologic pathology. For this section of the
website, I will be using a modified version of a publicly available
Perl script to gradually convert the CD versions of Fascicles in the Third Series to accessible HTML format.
You can access the full
text of the Fascicles, but there are a few bugs
in the text formatting and the hyperlinks to images, tables, and references.
After a relatively long hiatus, I have finally found some time to work on these
bugs, starting with the images and references in the first two Fascicles, Non-Melanocytic
and Melanocytic
Tumors of the Skin. Hopefully this debugging process won't take too long
and all the online fascicles will soon become fully functional.
Since the AFIP Fascicles are
U.S. government publications, they are not subject to
copyright restrictions.
However, there are a few copyrighted images in each Fascicle which cannot be
distributed without the permission of the copyright holder. So for the time
being, I will not be able to post those images. Here are the Fascicles in the
